HOW TO ENTER

  • All entrants must register online at www.awardonline-cfe.com to receive their password in order to access the Call for Entries website. Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive your password instantly.
  • All entries to AWARD Call for Entries 2011 must be completed online at www.awardonline-cfe.com
  • You are required to stick an entry label to the back of each board and write the AWARD ID number on three-dimensional work. The labels can be printed online.
  • Entry forms and the checklist need to be printed from the website. These forms and your proof of payment must be sent in an envelope to AWARD with your entry package.
  • Film (under 250MG) and Radio Spots, as well as overviews and client letters, jpegs, scripts and descriptions MUST be uploaded to the AWARD Call for Entries website www.awardonline-cfe.com before you can finalise your entries. Tapes and Discs will NOT be accepted.
  • Film and Video (over 250MG only) MUST be submitted on a disc, clearly labelled with other entry materials.
  • The work, overviews or links MUST NOT contain any entrant/agency branding to ensure impartial judging.
  • If work is submitted in a language other than English, it must include an English translation or English subtitles as all entries will be judged in English.
  • If you are entering your work into more than one category you must provide a separate piece of work for each category. Under no circumstance can entries be transferred from category to category.
  • The maximum size for boards is A2. Work should be flush mounted on white cardboard, no foam-core boards. Boards larger than A2 will NOT be judged.
  • Ensure that work is supplied as it was originally published.
  • You must submit complete sets of credits for ALL your entries via the “Enter Credits” option under “Manage Entries” online. You will NOT be able to submit your entries until this has been completes for ALL entries.

FILE FORMATS

Here are the general file formats. Please check the 'How to enter' details of each category for the specific file requirements per entry.

Images: JPEG, CMYK, 300 dpi

Scripts: FINAL script as Word doc (NO PDFs accepted), maximum 300 words. If the script is longer please provide a synopsis, maximum 300 words.

Client letters: A signed client letter MUST be supplied for every entry submitted into the AWARD Awards. Letter must be uploaded in PDF form ONLY. No Word documents accepted.

Descriptions: Word doc (NO PDFs accepted), maximum 100 words.

TVC screen grabs: Four images. JPEG, CMYK, 300 dpi (or the best quality possible)

Overviews: Provide a link or MPEG2 file, max 3 minutes (longer overviews won't be excepted) All credit details are NOT required at this stage. You need to supply credits if your entry becomes successful.

Credits

Credits for ALL entries MUST be submitted when entering online. This can be done by selecting "Enter Credits" under the "Manage Entries" section of the site. Please note you will not be able to submit your entries until all necessary credits have been entered for your work. Be conscious of the fact that what you enter online is what will appear at the AWARD Presentation Evening in the event your work is awarded.

  • Ensure that the media comes from an uncompressed format for example Digi Beta, SP Betacam, MiniDV or DVCam.
  • Letterboxing in 4:3 aspect ratio (needs to be full screen).
  • File type must be a Multiplexed MPEG2 in 1 single file.
  • Pease note, other file formats will not be accepted.
  • Ensure that the file extension reads .mpg or the file will not be accepted by the system.
  • Use the approximate file size guide that 1 second of video - 1MB.
  • Please ensure your entry begins at the first frame only and does NOT include the clapper board or title information.
  • Please ensure one file contains one commercial only - please do not send multiple commercials in one file.
  • The preferred aspect ratio is 16:9.
  • Spots will be viewed on a 16:9 screen for judging.
  • If the file is over 250MG it MUST be submitted on a disc, clearly labeled with other entry materials.
  • Always do a preliminary quality check before submitting your work.

 

Radio

WAV

  • Ensure entry is submitted in Stereo, in a high quality WAV, 48khz at 16 bits or more.
  • Please ensure the file extension reads .wav or the file will not be accepted by the system.
  • Use the approximate file size guide that 1 second - 500 kb.
  • Please ensure one file contains one commercial only - please do not send multiple commercials in one file.

 

Overview files (required for Integrated, Ambient, Direct Marketing and Creative Innovation categories)

MPEG2

  • The overview should show a concise overview of key elements of the work.
  • Keep the overview to the point and focus on the work. The judges have lots of entries to get through and it is important to explain the idea/work as directly as possible.
  • Overview must not have any agency branding.
  • Overviews longer than 3 minutes won't be accepted.
